TV Guide revealed this week that a car accident will take the life of Ridge and Taylor's younger and emotional twin daughter Phoebe. Rick is driving the car, and an upset Phoebe grabs the wheel forcing the car to careen off the road. Phoebe is thrown from the wreck and later dies in Ridge's arms. The drama unfolds on Tuesday, Dec. 2 when Mackenzie Mauzy returns— to say farewell to B&B and the part she played since 2006. Drew Tyler Bell brings Thomas home for his father's wedding on Thursday, Dec. 4. Recurring cast members Patrick Duffy (Stephen) and Robin Riker (Beth) are amongst the guests at Ridge and Brooke's chaotic rehearsal dinner on Dec. 4, 5 and 8.
TV Guide ha rivelato che questa settimana un incidente d'auto strapperà la vita alla giovane ed emotiva gemella Phoebe, figlia di Ridge e Taylor. Rick sta guidando l'auto, e una scovolta Phoebe afferra il volante costringendo l'auto a finire fuori strada. Phoebe viene tirata fuori dal veicolo e poi muore fra le braccia di Ridge. PHOEBE IS KILLED

Ironically, it happens after a tenuous ceasefire has finally been declared between Ridge and Rick, and Rick decides to put aside their differences and come to Ridge and Brooke's nups. "Rick is doing it for his mother," say Kyle Lowder. "He still has his issues with Ridge, but Rick doesn't want to hurt Brooke anymore. Of course, she's thrilled."
Ironia della sorte, accade dopo che una lieve tregua è stata alla fine dichiarata fra Ridge e Rick, e Rick decide di mettersi alle spalle le loro divergenze e partecipare alle nozze di Ridge e Brooke. Rick even agrees to attend the formal rehearsal dinner being held at Eric and Stephanie's mansion. "Rick is still at the office and just as he's ready to leave, Phoebe shows up," Lowder details. "She has come home for the wedding and has been clued in on what Rick has been up to, about what happened with Taylor, how he's treating Ridge and what he was doing with Steffy. Phoebe is just beside herself. There is absolute anger coupled with deep pain because she loved this guy. It's a real, 'how could you do this to me' speech and escalates pretty quickly. Rick is trying to get to the party, but she wants to talk about this. He tells her, 'You're upset, there's no way we're going to get anything accomplished right now.' He's willing to talk about it later."
Rick acconsente persino a partecipare alla formale cena prematrimoniale a casa di Stephanie ed Eric. "Rick è ancora in ufficio e proprio quando è pronto per andare, gli si presenta Phoebe," specifica Lowder. When Rick tries to leave, a still-emotional Phoebe jumps in the car with him. "She won't get out, so he says, 'Fine, I'll give you a ride,'" recounts Lowder. "They take off and she's not letting this go, so he looks straight ahead to let her vent. That just makes her even more mad because she thinks he's being indifferent, so she goes nuts. She's going at him physically and he can't even see. They're on one of the canyon roads in Beverly Hills, which is winding and can be treacherous if you're not paying attention. Something happens which causes him to lose control and they just fly off the road."

Sonon su una delle strade sul canyon di Beverly Hills, che è ventosa e può essere pericolosa se non si presta attenzione. Accade qualcosa che gli fa perdere il controllo e volano via dalla strada.

The vehicle does down an embankment and crashes. "Rick is injured pretty badly and he's still in the car, but Phoebe isn't," Lowder explains. "She wasn't wearing her seatbelt. He gets out and starts searching for her. He's panicking. He finally finds her and realizes that she's barely alive. He can't find his cell phone and he calms down enough to get his bearings. He knows he's close to his dad's house, so he runs for help."

There, Ridge happens to be outside trying to call Phoebe when a bloodied Rick comes running up the driveway. "Ridge is stunned and wants Rick to come inside, but he tells him, 'It's Phoebe. She's hurt,'" says Lowder. "Ridge and Rick take off without saying anything to the guests. They find Phoebe and Ridge holds his daughter in his arms as she dies. This is the saddest moment I've played in the eight years I've been on daytime."
